First possible indication of a 2nd form of primordial matter
Results prepared by a group of Hungarian researchers, supported by the Research Excellence Program of MATE University, headed by Tamás Csörgő, a physicist, member of Academia Europaea, were published as Editors' Suggestion in the Physical Review C, the leading nuclear physics journal of the American Physical Society. This indirect, quantum nuclear physics result may provide the first glimpse at the 2nd new form of primordial matter that once filled the early Universe.
Report on the 18th Workshop on Particle Correlations and Femtoscopy
The 18th edition of the Workshop on Particle Correlations and Femtoscopy brought world wanderer physicists back to Budapest, Hungary. The WPCF series of conferences started off as a satellite conference of the Quark Matter 2005 conference, also held in Budapest, and since it travelled around the world, from Japan to Russia, Europe, North and South America, returning back to its place of birth in 2026. Femtoscopy in-vestigates the properties of matter created in the accelerators of high energy particle and nuclear physics at the smallest currently measurable length-scales. The program of WPCF 2026, recognized also by the European Physical Society, included nearly 100 par-ticipants from 20 countries and 5 continents, who presented 83 talks, and attracted 38 PhD students from all over the world.
